Growing up, I spent hours looking through photo albums and watching home videos my mom recorded. It’s still one of my favorite things to do. I find myself noticing the little things just as much as the people: the clothes, the furniture, the toys I forgot I had. It's fascinating how much you can remember from seeing something you haven't thought about in years.

At 13, I started gravitating toward photography, mostly on the days I spent riding my horse. I “borrowed” my mom’s camera every weekend for about two years before she got me my own for Christmas. Thanks, Mom. ♡

I didn’t really know what I was doing at first. I’d just keep messing with my camera until I got the shot I wanted. Later, I joined the photography club at school and went down the YouTube university rabbit hole at home. I taught myself everything from shooting manually and working with natural light to editing in Lightroom and Photoshop. I photographed countless horse shows and learned to adapt quickly and make the most of whatever was happening in front of me.

In 2022, I upgraded to my first full-frame professional camera and invested in better lenses and lighting equipment. With the support of my family and friends, I turned photography into my career.

But the entrepreneurial side of things started long before that.

My mom has a background in graphic design and my dad worked in sales, so creativity and business were always part of the picture. When I was seven, I’d ride my Razor scooter through the neighborhood with a woven basket attached. I sold handmade gimp keychains for 50 cents each or two for 75. Pretty fair pricing, if you ask me.

On some summer days, he would bring me to work and set me up at an empty salesman’s desk with something to keep me busy. I’d usually end up inventing businesses and designing business cards. Then I’d make copies on their printer and hand them out to his coworkers. They bought keychains, too. Naturally.

Flash forward 14 years and 75,000 photos later,

and here I am still doing what I love: creating things, noticing the little details and finding ways to turn an idea into something real.
